National Motosport Association
The National Motosport Association (NMA) was founded in 1970 when motocross wasn’t quite the sport it is today.
NMA, presenters of the World Mini Grand Prix, the most prominent national amateur through pro motocross event in the United States began 38 years ago and for the past eighteen years has been presented at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Racers from all over the world have traveled to Las Vegas to participate in the biggest motocross event in the world.
NMA also presents The Grand National Championship of Motocross in Ponca City, Oklahoma with 2009 being the 36th year of the event. Known throughout the motocross community as “Ponca”, it is the original national championship program with 35 qualifying regions across the United States. The top racers from these regions gather in Ponca City for a final test of their racing talent and skill.
